Resources

If you are an existing OSHC educator or new to our team, consider the following resources as part of your induction. You’ll wear many hats and be stretched in many directions in your role with us, and you will hopefully find it very rewarding!

You may find yourself supervising children outside, or leading the way. You will end up outside of your comfort zone and covered with paint. You could even learn something new by becoming a drone pilot. And yes it’s true, there is a list of cleaning tasks we’re required to check each session.. Which is great!

If you’re a qualified OSHC educator, there may be additional responsibilities that you take on, including managing medications and medical actions plans.

If you are an unqualified OSHC educator and you wish to learn more, you might find yourself in a position to study with us or begin a traineeship.

If you are an OSHC educator and studying to be a teacher, you will have opportunities to apply what you learn at uni and on placement by sharing your knowledge and skills with our team.

Contributions from both qualified and unqualified OSHC educators are valued here and you will have a voice to share your thoughts at regular group and one to one meetings.

All OSHC educators are required to become familiar with the various resources provided below, including the Guide to the National Quality Framework and the Educators’ Guide to My Time, Our Place.

After all is said and done, your time with our community will be lots and lots of fun!
