Before School Care

6:30am- 8:30am, Monday to Friday during the school term

Fees: $14.00 per booking, before CCS

We serve a delicious and nutritious breakfast until 8:00am. Children who arrive after 8:00am and miss out on our gourmet Vegemite on wholemeal toast or warming cinnamon fruit loaf with Nuttelex spread, can attend Breakfast Club from 8:30am.

We like to inspire healthy minds and bodies in before school care to help children begin their day well. You’ll find children dancing on the oval, shooting hoops at the courts, or going mad in the gym playing games! Dodgeball and OneTouch are staple games for many a mOSHCer.

After School Care

3:05pm- 6:30pm, Monday to Friday during the school term (2:05pm- 6:30pm early finish)

Fees: $24.00 per permanent booking and $29.00 per casual booking, before CCS

Whilst students in Years 2 and above sign in with an educator at OSHC, children from the junior primary building are signed in and walked to OSHC as a group by our most professional child organisers. No child is left unaccounted for, not on our watch! It is very important that you contact the OSHC office to make a cancellation or report an absence, we will always follow up with a phone call to enquire about absent children.

Once grouped and accounted for at OSHC, all children are offered an afternoon snack. We’re usually eating something amazing like house made cornflake cookies, honey joys and a sensible fruit and salad platter. Sometimes (only sometimes!) we might make something cheeky! If there are any dietary considerations we should know about, please let us know. Children can choose to join our OCAT (OSHC Cuisine Action Team) meetings twice a term, to plan our afternoon snack menu.

Our programming is informed by the interests and needs of children and families and children can make choices about how they spend their time when at OSHC. We’re always encouraging children to play outside and make the most of our beautiful grounds and we offer active indoor alternatives and opportunities for relaxation too. Current (2024) themes for us are: basketball, football, gym games, dance, podcasting/digital media, Dungeons & Dragons, chess and board games, sewing and textile crafts, cooking and eating, random provocations, and watching documentaries.

Vacation Care

6:30am- 6:30pm, Monday to Friday during school holidays

Fees:

  • $55.00 per day, before CCS (early bird, $50.00)

  • $65.00 per excursion day, inclusive, before CCS (early bird, $60.00)

  • School based events (formerly, incursions) incur an additional fee of $8.00

The school holidays are always a welcome change of pace for us at OSHC. The busy-ness of before and after school care calms down a tad and opportunities for quality time with children and programmes improves.

We’re often out and about on adventures visiting far flung places as well as the Fleurieu wonders that are close to home. We enjoy planned school based themes and activity providers too. The movies are always a hit as well as our regular winter stomps at Chookarloo, where we splash about in muddy puddles!

We like to make sure that children are dressed well and are prepared for the activity and the weather, whether it is hot or cold. A change of clothes might be required, and always a hat and drink bottle. We offer children breakfast and an afternoon snack each day, but please remember to help your children pack their lunch and snacks just like they would for school.

What about kindy kids?! Pre-school age children are considered school-age from the first day of January in the year that they are first enrolled at school. Big new school kids are welcome to join us in the January school holidays on non-excursion days, and likewise for the mid-year intake in July, and can join in on the excursion fun once they’ve experienced their first term at school.

If you have suggestions for excursions or school based activities, or anything else, please let us know here!

Student Free Days

6:30am- 6:30pm, student free days. Please note that we are not open on public holidays

Fees: $55.00 per student free day, before CCS

There is often a loose theme for our student free days and we’re usually cooking something cheeky, playing sports and games, or toasting ham and cheese toasties at the campfire. We recorded a D&D session with our podcast studio at our most recent student free day!
